This was our first Norwegian cruise. We ended up staying in the Haven in a 2-bedroom family villa was fantastic! The service in the Haven was spectacular from the time we boarded until the time we got off the ship. Our butler, concierge, stweard, bartenders, and waiters were all fantastic.

Unfortunately, the service on the rest of the ship left room for improvement. It made us not want to venture out of the Haven and it would make me think twice about booking a Norwegian cruise. Carnival's customer service was far better than that of Norwegian's in the main areas of the ship (pool deck, bars, restaurants, and dining rooms). We went to O'Sheehan's for a casual lunch prior to disembarking for our Palma excursion and it took 1 hour to get our food. No apologies and no follow through. We also ate in the main dining room a few times because we wanted something different from the Haven's set menu and the service was sub par. For the price you pay for an NCL cruise, the customer service could definitely be better.

Part of me gets the impression that NCL doesn't really care about customer service as much as Carnival. After every Carnival cruise, we've received a survey to fill out about our experience. We haven't received anything from NCL so perhaps they don't want to improve upon their deficits...

Cabin Review

Courtyard Villa with Balcony

Cabin H4

Our 2-bedroom family villa with balcony was exactly as advertised. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable, It was nice to have 2 bathrooms for the four of us. The living area was comfortable. The balcony only had 2 chairs for a 6 person suite (and there was definitely room for 4) so that was somewhat unfortunate, but overall, we were very happy with our accommodations.
