This was our first cruising experience and definitely our last with MSC. We travelled with another family who have been on quite a few cruises. From the start we were left feeling disappointed with the length of question to board the ship and then being ushered past the welcome drinks because of the que system to get on board. Our room was small but there was no mention in the brochure about the tiny shower in the bathroom. Not fit for purpose. The level of customer service on board varies from rude and not interested to absolutely fantastic. It was after our holiday we found that customers are not a priority for them. The food was hit and miss. Some good some bad. Was expecting a lot more variety. Hand sanitizers aboard the ship were empty a lot of the time. The excursions were fantastic though. Queuing was a major part of this holiday as disembarking and embarking on excursions were very painful. Over 40 mins in the pouring rain in Montenegro queuing to embark. We were aboard the ship that crashed in venice. There was very little information forthcoming as to what had happened. Most people could see from top deck what had happened and from videos already on the net, before an announcement came that we had hit another vessel. We were then late to dock by many hours. Eventually when we reached the port we were held up in our designated area with what seemed like 90 % of the passengers in a room not big enough to seat them. There we waited for over an hour before we were called to get in line to disembark. There we queued for over an hour in the blazing hot sun. No refreshments forthcoming. Obviously we missed our transfers by some time, we tolda senior member of the MSC team of our situation. His response was at the end of the dock (which was some distance away) there are free transfers to the airport. He couldn't get away quick enough. This is when we find out he was lying and just wanted rid of us. We had and elderly lady with bad knees with us. This left us absolutely outraged. If he would have just said " I'm very sorry but there is a river taxi at the docks. Keep your receipts and you can claim them back." We would have been more understanding. We have since discovered that lying must be a MSC policy. When we got home we wrote a letter of complaint. One of the replies was. It was the harbour masters fault we missed our transfers as they would not let msc release the passengers. Another lie. I've got pictures of the crash which was the reason we were delayed for so long and missed our transfer. We told them we may never cruise again but would certainly not use MSC ever again. To which they offered us 15% off our next cruise with MSC restricted dates and packages. To this day they have not apologised for the incident or the pathetic service that followed.

Awful service and after care

Cabin Review

Cabin Small
Small cabin.
Ridiculous shower. Every time you move the shower curtain sticks to you.
As a guy I had to have one leg in the shower to take a pee
