Expected luxury from start to finish, which we certainly paid for. Cruise from Budapest to Prague. We were very disappointed. Food was average to say the least. Dining room meals what we expect in an Aussie pub. Deserts were awful. Coffee during day via a machine with a cookie or danish (at least I think that was what it was)! Accommodation was average, although beds were comfortable. Closets small, rooms were cleaned well, but no luxury whatsoever. Even toiletries had been downgraded from L’Occitane to Freya. Told we were welcomed back from tours with drink and something to eat; this happened once with pate on a cracker that was disgusting. Boats stacked along side each other in port, which meant when we opened our curtains to sit on our balcony, we stared straight into another boat’s guests’ room! We chose Viking over Scenic because we wanted special treatment, how naive! Did a survey for VIking at end of trip and never heard back - how surprising, they already had our money! Would not recommend
