I opted for this cruise because an earlier planned cruise to the Virgin Islands had had to be changed due to a previous hurricane. Dorian had me scared for a bit that this itinerary would also be changed, but it dodged St. Thomas and Puerto Rico. Later the ship had to alter the port stop in Nassau due to Humberto, but that was a decision made during the cruise for the passengers' safety. The Virgin Islands were well worth the wait and the second cruise. What a beautiful destination!

First, I would like to acknowledge the highlights of the time aboard the ship. Burn the Floor and Rock of Ages were both excellent. This was the third time that I had seen Burn the Floor (twice on the Breakaway and once on the Epic), but every time felt like a unique performance since the routines and costumes were not always the same. Also, the magician was very entertaining. Another outstanding part of the cruise was the dining experiences. We enjoyed the food at every venue that we tried. We received first-rate service at Savor/Taste. I believe that every time that we dined in Savor we had management members come by our table to greet us and to check that we were pleased with both the food and service. That little extra attention always makes you feel like your satisfaction and happiness are important to the staff. I will admit that I was disappointed to discover that the Manhattan Room shared the exact menu with Taste/Savor. I had always believed that the reason two main dining rooms were offered aboard NCL ships was to provide varying menus to meet passengers' desires. Finally, I enjoyed the activities offered on the ship. Although I never partake in all of them (Is that even possible?), I have really begun to like to participate in the UCanvas and I spend way too much time in the casino. Casinos at Sea, you rock!

Once we reached a port, we participated in shore excursions that we booked with the cruise line. Since we were in San Juan during the evening and it was our first time to visit, we opted for the San Juan City Tour. It was a good introduction to the city. My favorite excursion was in St. Thomas. We chose the Turtle Cove Catamaran and Snorkel. I have a thing for sea turtles so this one was my trip fantasy. It was awesome to watch the sea turtles grazing on the bottom of the ocean floor! Our last stop due to the itinerary change was Tortola. We took the Land and Sea Tour. The views from the land tour were fabulous. What a beautiful island! I would recommend any of these tours to other travelers.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside Stateroom

Cabin IA

The room was clean. The inside cabins on this ship are designed to give a little more room at the end of the bed area. We had a couple of things not work properly, but they were fixed very quickly.

This was a nice visit to get an overview of the Everglades. We enjoyed our first time riding an airboat.
