We selected this cruise to celebrate my 60th birthday and our 40th Wedding Anniversary, so it was very special and important to us.
The embarkation at Southampton, despite the queues, was very well organised and slick.
Our stateroom was not to the standard we had been accustomed to aboard other cruise ships. The room was very small and the bathroom tiny. A refurb is very much needed. The carpet was badly stained and there was masking tape all around the interconnecting door. We mentioned this to our steward who promptly removed it. Then we found out why it had been placed there - when the people in the cabin next to us opened their balcony door half a hurricane come through and a high pitch whistling noise accompanied it.
Poor value for money.
Comfortable bed.
Small room.
Tiny bathroom.
Stains to cabin carpet
Masking tape around interconnecting cabin door. When the tape was removed there was gusts of wind and a whistling sound when connecting cabin occupants opened their balcony door.
It was requested if the maintenance crew could paint our balcony whilst we were there. What and smell the paint for the whole week - I don’t think so.
