Chose this cruise because we wanted to return to Hawaii having visited before. So briefly it is truly about being in Hawaii and not the cruise itself. The islands are spectacular but the ship isn’t. We have cruised many times and wouldn’t even rate this based upon the ship. For someone who wants to see Hawaii this is a great way to see the islands. We rented cars and used Gypsy app to guide us around islands. Highly recommend doing this. Ship is quite dated. Still don’t understand why a ship that only cruises Hawaii has nothing in the way of Hawaii decor. Inside ship feels like sitting inside a musty Americana museum. Food is fair. Remember this is about seeing the islands but thought the ship should reflect the location. We also skipped Kona due to medical emergency. Perhaps injured passenger should have been transported by small emergency vessel rather than turning whole ship around. Would have certainly been faster for that passenger. The crew is good but not the same as other ships. Nothing memorable. I still remember great crew members from past cruises but won’t remember anyone from this one. So if someone is taking this trip for the cruise, don’t. If someone just wants to see this beautiful place, don’t hesitate.

Cabin Review

Inside

Cabin ID

Cabin was tight as expected. I always take an inside cabin and it felt slightly smaller than others. Storage space fine but everything is a little worn. Toilet stopped working twice and someone explained that happens when another cabin flushes items that shouldn’t be. Really? Perhaps the system needs to be overhauled. It was quickly fixed though. Just added to that feeling of being outdated
