We are Florida residents and have a Disney Vacation Club membership. We chose the Disney Dream cruise instead of the Disney Theme Parks this year and it is an easy drive to the port. We cruise on the Disney Cruise Line usually every other year. This year, Hurricane Dorian was in the Bahamas the week before our cruise and we were stressed out from the preparations for the hurricane which had been expected to hit us directly, so it was a relief to have such a nice chance to relax for a few days. Our Vacation Club membership was purchased in 1995 when our son was young, but we continue to enjoy it. There are adult areas on the ship, the entertainment is top quality, and we enjoy the family atmosphere.

Our cabin was on deck 2, and it had a large round window, which we enjoyed. It was a convenient location, on the same deck as one of the restaurants and just one deck below the main lobby. Once we were in the room with the door closed, we did not hear any outside noise.

We were able to stop at Castaway Cay. Although there was visible beach erosion due to the hurricane and most of the activities weren't operating, the family beach was open and the lunch pavilions were operating. The water was beautiful and clean and we enjoyed our day there. The ship also stopped in Nassau but we've been there many times so we decided to enjoy the adult pool on the ship.

Cabin Review

Cabin ocean view

Very comfortable, the window gave us a good view of the ocean. We enjoyed the two bathroom areas. The sofa was good for being seated and watching TV. There was ample room for storing clothing.
