We heard others talk of the exceptional service on Viking cruises and we had sailed on Norwegian and Princess in the past. Viking is definitely at the top of our list. There was no waiting to embark. We were given a timeframe for our cabin type and went right onto the ship after checking in. Though we couldn't access the cabin immediately, we were offerred a glass of champagne and invited to dine in one of the many restaurants.Our bags were delivered within hours and our cabin attendants introduced themselves and asked if there was anything we needed.
The employees were the friendliest we had encountered on any of our cruises. We enjoyed the lectures on various topics as well as the beautiful common spaces where one could sit and read or visit with others. We especially liked the included tours in every port though we did pay extra to visit Monet's Giverney and it was magical.
It was such a wonderful experience that we've decided to book another Viking cruise.
Cabin Review
We appreciated the extra room afforded in this type cabin. Our suitcases fit easily under the bed and we had plenty of storage space for our belongings. The bathroom was very nice and included toiletries. Our cabin was tidied twice per day. The bed was made in the morning and a night service in the evening. We requested a top sheet as we found the comforter too warm and it was provided right away. The balcony was lovely and we had a table and two chairs.
