We chose this cruise when invited by friends of ours who sailed with NCL on many cruises. It was the first time I had ever been on a cruise ship this large. I was wondering what it would be like to sail with 4000 other people but thankfully there wasn't too much traffic.

Here's how our cruise went:

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BD

The cabin was a decent layout. It wasn't cramped or claustrophobic but moving around the bed could be a challenge at times when two or more people are inside. The balcony door was well designed. One can see how much soundproofing the balcony door offers when opening it.

The cabin has a safe in the closet with a full top shelf and some smaller shelves under it, the rest make up the closet, enough to hang two people's primary clothes.

The bed is high enough that one can put their suitcases under the bed. The flat screen TV allowed us to check our account every day to keep track of our charges. Various other TV channels are available.

The cabin's bathroom is well laid out. Just be careful that it is raised, so you need to take one step up to enter and be aware of the step down when exiting. There is only a shower in this cabin, no bathtub. There was some issue with the faucet. It was difficult to get warm water to come out. It seemed to be mostly hot no matter where you set the lever. However, there was plenty of counter space and shelves to put all your toiletries. There is a hair dryer but note that it is in the cabin to reduce the risk of water-induced electric shock.

The cabin has both 220V and 120V electrical outlets. I brought my 220V converter to be able to have more 120V outlets but found that my electronics could not charge directly from this converter. So be aware that some 220V items may not work properly because of this.

There is a mini bar as well as 2 bottles of water offered. Be sure to check the mini-bar price list before opening anything.

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

Be careful of the bikes! Otherwise, quite a magnificent city. Nyhavn and Tivoli are worth visiting. Skip eating at Nyhavn as they have tourist trap prices.

Tallinn

Very quaint and charming small city
