Transportation from airport to port of Miami is cheaper by taxi ($24 flat rate). Embarkation was quick with Carnival Funpass, but then the wait was long to board the ship. The ship itself was good. However, the decor was somewhat eclectic/funky. In general, the staff were friendly and service was good. Our cabin (oceanview) was the right amount of space for our family of four. We had a great cabin steward (OV from Romania) who kept it very clean. The entertainment staff plan many fun things to do onboard, however one family event took place in the smokey cigar lounge. Therefore, we could not participate! The kids program was terrific. So terrific infact that my son did not want to do the planned excursion in Belize! Dining room food was really good, especially the melting chocolate cake dessert. My husband tried the lobster tail & king prawn meal and said it was okay; would have been better with more hot melted butter. Food at the buffet was satisfactory. Fish 'n' chips were only available from 1230-1430; they were okay. My kids loved the 24hr ice cream & frozen yogurt dispensary. We also liked the 24hr pizza available, but it wasn't that good. We had an early flight (ship classifies this as any flight before 12) so did the self assist and took our own luggage off. Everything went smoothly and there was no waiting to get off. There was no badgering to buy a coke card, which my husband said was the best. He would like the cruiselines to offer a beer card as well! In summary, we had a great time and would cruise with Carnival again!!!!

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6B

Cabin was just the right amount of space for our family. There was condensation on the window though, so views were not clear. Noise was minimal except when coming into port. We could hear the anchor drop; sounded like a train running through the cabin!
