I Wanted the Iceland extension and friends wanted us to go with them to the British Isles. One of the big reasons for selecting Viking was the smaller ship size with less passengers. We also appreciated the fact that like the river cruises a city tour of each port was included.
Overall we were quite pleased; we appreciated not having formal nights, not being pestered by photographers, getting around a smaller ship was nice, The cabin (category DV4) was quite nice and well laid out. The crew was very friendly and quite helpful.
I liked that the dining room menu was, for the most part, available at the buffet. The food was very good (enjoyed some sushi every night) but I would like to have seen more bread variety in the buffet and a dispenser for standard "filter" coffee.
