Embarkation we very well, right on the ship. ship is clean and was kept clean all week, staff is diligent wiping and paining. we left about an hour after we were supposed to every launch... we we very timely getting to our ports. you will not go to playa del carmen. they said the water was rough so they are taking us to cozomel. they have done this every time. the water was very calm. i think the truth is cozomel is more inviting or easier or whatever so dont book exursions at this stop till your on the ship and they verify.
food was interesting. you could find something to eat usually, but nothing spectacular. meat salad..? good but every night?.. deserts i did not care for. the ice cream on the pool deck was good, but they shut them down at 5:30. as a matter of fact they shut everything down early. if your butt isnt in a chair at 5:30 it gets stacked and racked. i understand at 8 or 9 when people are eating, but if you want to sit back and watch us leave a port in a chair, get there before they pack them away. my biggest gripe! My kids triead all week to get a basket ball. they have a tennis court and bball goal, but no bball. someone found one half way through the cruise, but they wanted it back by 5:30 and it was never seen again. byob bring your own ball...
For the ship self proclaimed being "green" it sure does waste cups. they give you shot glasses for breakfast juice, then when everyone takees 4 or five to get enough they bring out the plastic disposables. also, coffee cups, the first 100 got a regular cup, and the rest got styrofoam cups. not green. please invest in some more cups MSC!
