We were interested in visiting the west Coast of Norway and seeing the Arctic Circle - this cruise included that plus three stops in Scotland as well., It was an amazing trip starting i Oslo for before cruise scenery, then a train to Bergen where we embarked on our Viking ship, the Viking Sea. It was my first Viking Cruise and I was impressed particularly by the decor of the ship including my room which was lovely and roomy. As a former art teacher, I loved all the art on the wall and used the Viking art app to learn more about the paintings hanging on the walls of the ship. I loved all the lectures from amazingly interesting speakers, The Cruise Director was very entertaining as well as the Assistant Cruise Director. The dancers/singers were wonderful and loved how they participated in activities other than performing and how approachable they were. I toured the galley and was very impressed by how clean everything was. Mostly I was delighted how every employee greeted me, looking my in the eye and asking how I was doing. I knew if I needed anything I just had to ask. And the food! What can I say, we had excellent food no matter where we ate - World Cafe, the Restaurant, the specialty restaurants, or the Wintergarden tea room. We used the Living Room bar most frequently and our favorite bartender, Omega, was the friendliest as well as an excellent bartender/latte maker! The included tours were very informative and the local tour guides were very informative. Although I don't remember this cruise being publicized this way, it was an all adult cruise and although I love children, I appreciated that. I will definitely take another Viking Cruise.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

My room was very roomy. There was room for all my clothes as well as for my roommate. I especially appreciated the bathroom with the heated floor and room to turn around in. Our housekeeper Cindy was especially attentive and we loved coming back to our room at the end of a tour to find the beds made. Also appreciated that time wasn't wasted making funny little animals out of towels! Our balcony was large enough for both of us to be out on it and we loved watching the fjords roll by.
