I have always wanted to see the fjords, despite having no connection to Scandinavia. Cruising is the only way to fully experience these magnificent waterways and the majestic mountains that limn the coast for a thousand miles. Viking stresses education along with the fun of travel, and the lectures and presentations on board were enlightening and quite entertaining as well. Every effort was made to accommodate a gamut of activity levels and physical abilities. All of the included tours and the optional excursions were varied and had something for every interest. We began our trip with a pre-stay in Oslo, then travelled by train to Bergen - one of the most thrilling and beautiful train trips one can take anywhere! From Bergen to Honnigsvag and thence to Shetland, Orckney and Edinburgh, we traversed the worlds of the Vikings and the Sami people, ending in London for a few more days on our own. Truly, this was one of the most amazing trips I have ever taken anywhere in the world.

Cabin Review

We were originally booked on Deck 3, which is located over the common areas. Our room was directly over the theater, which was so incredibly noisy and disruptive that we asked to have our room changed. The staff found another room for us immediately and moved us in with no hassle. They even sent us a very good bottle of wine to welcome us to the changed room.
