We chose this trip because of past experience with Viking River Cruises, the Itinerary and the duration. We had never been on an ocean voyage and thought this would be a good way to take a step in that direction. We opted for an Explorer Suite (ES1) are were thoroughly pleased. The room was over the top. Very spacious, excellent amenities, views were fantastic and room service for breakfast every day was timely, hot and tasty.

With the ES1 class suite, we had 3 nights in each of the specialty restaurants and early selection to shore excursions. Menus were sufficiently different each night so that dinners were all unique. We were traveling with a group of 8 but the others only had 1 night in each specialty restaurant. For each of the combined groups' night in a restaurant, they placed us in the private dining rooms which was a very nice touch.

Onboard activities were fun as we mainly took advantage of the night life. Basically three groups of musicians, a solo artist, a string group and a rock band (from Ukraine). All were fun the listen to and watch. The fitness facility has all enough cardio equipment to get in a workout, stretch and/or lift prior to the activities of the day.
