Daughter and I chose this cruise as she wanted to see the Krka Waterfalls and I wanted to see Pompeii so this cruise was for us. We flew to Madrid for a couple days & took the train to Barcelona which we explored also for a couple days before embarking on ship. Wonderful that we could leave our luggage with Viking before embarking and doing some touring on our own. Our deck 3 deluxe veranda room was large enough for us and enjoyed the small balcony. Plenty of dining, entertainment and activity choices. Service was excellent and included shore excursions & optional excursions also were excellent. Laundry facilities on each deck was exceptional and greatly appreciated. After disembarkation which went very smoothly, we traveled in Italy on our own for 4 days. All around perfect voyage for us so we won't travel on ocean or river cruises on any other cruise line.
