We're a family of 4 (kids 11/9) and we would not be regular cruisers, having previously only done a 3 day cruise out of Florida. Check-in was very speedy and efficient. We were on the ship within 20 minutes and our luggage arrived not too long after. General - everything generally spotless, seemed like there was a very high standard of hygiene everywhere. 'Washy Washy. Happy Happy' as they say. Main decks - the pools were pretty small and tended to get crowded - they were also very warm and not very refreshing. Even the showers on deck were very warm - they really should have a couple of colder showers. Staff - All polite to a fault. Don't know how they manage it TBH considering the stuff they must have to put up with. Food - Generally very good considering they're catering for 4,000. We got the specialty dining package so ate in 3 of the fancier restaurants - they were all very nice. Bars - we didn't have a drinks package so drinks were pretty expensive. We didn't tend to drink very much. They say you can't bring drink on with you but we did for most of the excursion days - they hardly check your bags at all getting back on. The Martini and Whiskey bars were very pleasant. One major annoyance was the ice bar - $25 to get in, even for kids, so $100 for the 4 of us!. No way was I paying that. There's an ice bar in Palma that was only €40 for the 4 of us and included a couple of drink as well. Much better value, shame on Norwegian for charging so much. Excursions - Didn't pay for any of the Ship excursions. It's perfectly possible, with a bit of forward planning, to arrange your own travel to all of the cities and pay a fraction of the price and get there quicker - for example, getting the train into Rome is much cheaper and faster than the cruise bus. Same goes for Pisa. Cannes you can just walk around yourself and a 10 minute walk will get you to the local bus station in Naples where you can get a bust to Pompeii. Do a bit of research and save a fortune. Entertainment - there was always something on. if you're bored on the ship, it's your fault. All in all we had a great time, got to see some amazing cities and really enjoyed our time on the ship,

Overall Excellent - Minor Quibles

Cabin Review

Family Inside
Cabin I1
The cabin was small (obviously) but cleverly laid out with a decent amount of storage space. We had an interior so probably the worst cabin type and it was grand really as long as you were strict with putting stuff away
Deck 14 Inside Cabins, Balcony Cabins, Suite Cabins
