We had heard nothing but great things about Viking from several friends so we decided to give it a try. Our expectations were met on almost every level. Our room was great and the amenities were well designed and maintained. The staff who took care of out room were great. Food was excellent - several levels above what we have experienced in other travel. We ate most of our meals at the pool bar and the buffet, although I heard nothing but good things about the other venues. The "Chef's Table" was interesting, but seemed more focused on process than cuisine - other folks loved it. Manfredi's was really outstanding both in terms of food and service.

Brunch at the pool during our final sea day was absolutely spectacular.

There were educational and entertainment activities, but we chose to focus on reading and hanging out in comfortable spaces on the upper decks. Read more
