Wanted to go to the Baltic and liked the itinerary Viking offered. Had been on a Viking River cruise and liked it, so thought we would give the Viking Ocean a try. We were very impressed with the ship and the crew. The included shore excursions were very good. The food was excellent.

Viking has brought the same level of service to the ocean that it did for the rivers. I especially liked the fact that it was all adult. I also did not miss at all the things that the ship didn't have, like a casino and photographers everywhere. While Viking costs more than most of the other cruise lines we have traveled on, I do think that it is a good value.

The only thing that was not as good as some other lines was the entertainment. It isn't that it was bad; it wasn't. There just wasn't as much of it and the cast was small. Four singers and no dancers. That limited the shows. Plus many nights there was only a movie and no live entertainment at all.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

Cabin was very comfortable and had plenty of storage space. The bathroom was excellent, with a heated floor and fog-proof mirror. Plenty of water pressure and never a lack of hot water. I would have liked a little more room, but this is one of the lower level cabins. With Viking even the cheapest cabins are nice and all include a veranda.
