We wanted to try Viking ocean cruise ships since we have made several river cruises. It was a beautiful ship with the customary superb Viking care, service and food. And we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary by visiting Italy for the first time, taking the Italian Sojourn, Venice to Rome cruise.

We took the Tuscany extension which included staying in a 600 year old villa set in the beautiful Tuscany countryside. One of the highlights of that visit was an enchanting dinner at an even older villa and winery.

Viking excels in remarkably designed cabins that maximize space and efficiency. We received the wonderful care by the crew on our deck as well as in the dining room as we have in the past river cruises we've taken.

Cabin Review

Cabin Veranda

well designed, lots of space and very comfortable. Like all Viking ships they are extremely well planned in the use of space. A comfortable and relaxing room with a balcony that was perfect for reading, watching the sea, etc. An the bathroom was very well planned with plenty of room.
