The Viking ocean cruise ships accommodate about 950 passengers which is the right size for my wife and I - not too big and not too small. The Viking Jupiter is one of the newest in the Viking fleet and it did not disappoint. All of the cabins have outside windows with decks and are designed very well - quiet and laid out for two to comfortably get around each other. The dining choices are varied and includes both venues with general seating as well as a few restaurants with special menus that require advance reservations. All are included in the fare price, so a great value.

The staff are really exceptional too, attentive and ready to help in what ever your needs are. The spa facilities go along with Viking's Nordic esthetic. The sauna, plunge pool, steam room, hot tub and ice room are open to all - no charges or reservations required. The optional spa treatments are also nice and reasonably priced (for a cruise line).

They also have a nicely equipped fitness center with several personal trainers available if you want to book a personal fitness session.
