We wanted to sail from Venice before the cruise ships were diverted away from Venice's historic sights, and this itinerary looked really good. We had a few days pre-cruise in Venice which gave us plenty time to see the sights. Boarding the cruise was quick, and very well organised. The ship is a great size with friendly staff. Our room stewards were great, keeping our room in immaculate condition. We did encounter some issues being served at the Martini Bar where the bar staff were only interested in serving big-tipping guests. We pre-pay our tips, but issue out more tips at the end of our holiday if we feel we’ve had great service so this approach just costs the staff tips, and makes for unhappy guests! We had flexible dining times which is not something we’d like to have again. Whilst the restaurant staff try to seat you in the same area, it’s not always possible and you’re unable to build up any rapport with your waiters. However all the staff who served us were friendly and efficient. Wine tops ups can be an issue - this is not down to the sommeliers who never stop but down to the fact that Celebrity have too few of them in the dining room. Entertainment staff worked their socks off too, providing great entertainment. Ports were fantastic. Dubrovnik - lovely place , but quite full on if you take the cable car and climb the city walls. Museum at the top of the cable car was very thought provoking. Chanda, Crete - a little gem Mykonos - lovely and bright with some very nice upmarket shops Athens - we loved it. Beautiful clear day with fantastic things to see. Rhodes Town- full of history Santorini - village at top of cablecar was lovely on the side facing the ship. Over the hill was disappointing. Walked down , very smelly due to donkey dirt. Katakolon - picked up,a cheap bus to Olympia. Great day out.

Nice ship, great itinerary
