Sail Date: Aug 2019
Cabin: Balcony Stateroom with Shower

We chose this cruise as we were Interested in all the ports that it was going to, particularly that it left and returned to Malta.

We did all our own city tours using local buses, which was very easy and very cost effective. Saved ourselves time and money, and would happily do it again.

Was great having a duty free shop at the port in Malta and were able to buy 2 litres of spirits, a bottle of liqueur and as much mixers as we wanted for our cabin. We were able to stock up on our mixers when we stopped in at Malta at the end of the 7 day cruise before we carried on for the next 7 days.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom with Shower

Cabin JA

It is mid ship, which made a little walk to stairwells, but certainly not an issue. Laundry was just down the hall so easy to pop in a load of washing and go back to your cabin or up to the pool and pop back 35 minutes later and pop in the dryer.

Loved having tea & coffee provided in our room along with a yummy packet of biscuits each day.

Very nice Shampoo, Conditioner and Body lotion by the White company.

Very tidy, although bathroom needed a bit of updating.

Nice balcony with table and chairs.

Port Reviews

Malta (Valletta)

We did our own tours due to high cost. We caught a local bus to Medina, No 51,52 or 53, was very easy to do. If you go to Medina make sure you go to the Fontanella tea cafe in Medina, huge selection of delicious cakes and drinks. Easy to make your way around the city. Make sure you go inside St. John’s cathedral, awesome

Athens (Piraeus)

After our cruise arrived we walked ( actually quite a long walk 40mins?) to the train station and caught the train into Athens. It was very hot, but the walk to the station wasn’t difficult. Only a couple of euros. Easy to walk around. Do your research homework before you leave home. TripAdvisor is excellent

Lovely walking around the walled city, did our own thing and saw all we wanted

Very hot day to walk the wall. Easy to do on your own without paying high excursion fees.

Loved Hvar, walked up to the fortress, went inside the historic theatre built in 1612. It is the oldest operating theatre in Europe

I had booked tickets to go inside the Doges palace before we left home. When we arrived in port, the queue to go inside The Basilica as huge, used my phone to book tickets and was booked in a tour within the hour. Very simple. Wondered around and saw all we wanted while in port

Extremely hot, walked around the Diocletian palace, up and down ally ways, lovely day doing our own thing. Do your homework before you leave home, well worth it
