We chose this cruise for it's itinerary as the Baltic was somewhere we had never been before and were keen to experience.

St Petersburg was the highlight but we enjoyed the other ports of call too.

Embarkation/disembarkation was very well organised with no issues for us.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

This cabin is on deck 8, port side, not far from the forward lifts. Cabin was roomy and very clean with plenty of storage space. Two wardrobes for long hanging with about 12 wooden hangers each, some with clips for hanging shorts, skirts etc. Between these two was another with 3 shelves and four drawers and the safe. Bedside cabinets had two drawers on one side and one on the other. The dressing table also had three drawers. Plenty of room under the bed to stow our empty suitcases. Bathroom was nice with more storage space and an excellent shower. There are two EU plug sockets, one where the tea/coffee making is and one at the dressing table. There is also a US plug socket at the dressing table. A decent 1200W hairdryer was in a dressing table drawer. The cabin also includes a flat screen TV, a sofabed and small fridge/minibar. The balcony was perfectly large enough and includes two chairs and a small table.

However, we had originally booked cabin 9192 (which is almost identical to 8087) which we were fortunate to be able to move from. The frame around the sliding doors to the balcony continually cracked loudly every time the ship moved, which meant we didn't get much sleep (despite using earplugs) until we moved to 8087, which thankfully didn't have that problem.

Apart from the cracking noise in 9192 we never heard any external noise in either cabin.

All in all, we thought both cabins were excellent and would have been perfectly happy with 9192 if it hadn't been for the cracking noise from the door frame.
