This was our third cruise with celebrity. We thought the ship,staff and attention to detail was brilliant. However a few things are now lacking. The dress code for one . On numerous occasions when eating in the main dining rooms we had people turn up in shorts . One of these occasions was a young woman in very untidy cut off denim shorts. On our last evening we ate in the fine cut steakhouse again we noticed men turn up in shorts and trainers. Children were in abundance. We have two grown up children so been there and done holidays with family but it was really noticeable just how many there were charging around and especially on evenings at bar areas. On our last day after visiting La Spezia we decided to go up to the sunset bar for a drink to be greeted as we were walking through it by a young topless female. I am no prude but I really didn't think this acceptable at all especially when we witnessed a few young teenager s going around and children. Surely the staff should have asked her discreetly to cover herself up. We feel the cruise company is out pricing themselves. On last two cruises,constellation and reflection they had certain events in the shopping mall . There was nothing like this,everything was so very expensive and obviously catering for the clientele were money is no object. For normal working people who have probably saved all year for their holiday it is a right kick in the face. On a positive note we were stuck in Monaco when the sea got to rough to get on the tenders.While waiting for the ship to move further down the coast to calmer waters around a two hour wait till we got back on tenders,the staff off the ship looked after us so well. Food and drink was brought off the ship to us at the harbour while we waited. Would we do Edge again? No
