I chose this to see Cuba and was not disappointed. Carnival Paradise is an older ship but well maintained. Food was good everywhere, shows may not been comparable to some other lines but were entertaining, especially the comedians. Staff and service was top notch.

We live near the port of embarkation and that went very smoothly. Our cabin and cabin steward were as expected and/or exceeded expectation even as past guest of Carnival. We love the larger size of staterooms offered over some of the other cruise lines.

There is a nice observation area forward on a deck where very few people know about it and we get up early and watch the ship come into port. Something most cruisers never see.

Many points of interest to see. Easy tram ride to downtown and just walk around.
