We have cruised with Carnival, Royal Caribbean and NCL in the past and chose this cruise base on price. This was our second Carnival cruise and was a lot better than our first experience on the Dream. I had a lot of reservations before boarding based on reviews I read here but we did not experience any of the issues I read about.

Embarkation was easy and we were on board by 1130.

Our cabin was nice and clean and everything worked as it should. Saw a lot of complaints about the air not being cold enough, but our was working great and would cool the room down as much as we needed it to. Our room steward was awesome. One of the best we have had in our handful of cruises. He always made sure the room was clean and stocked with towels and was apologetic anytime we came back and the room was not done up yet.
