Hello everyone, just back from the Freedom of the Seas April 18th, 2010 sailing. This was our 11th cruise and celebrating our 31st anniversary. Our fourth RCCL.
We flew from Lincoln Nebraska to Orlando FL. on April 17th, rented a van to take us to The Radisson on the port for our first night. Our room was nice, nothing great. Ate supper at Kelsey's right next to the hotel, it was very good.
Sunday April 18th we left by hotel shuttle (free) to the port around noon. The wait in line took about one hour..when you just thought you had gotten done with one line there was a new one to stand in. We didn't wait but a couple of hours for all of our bags to arrive to our room..and they even made it thru security (rum runners work!) Muster drill took about 30 minutes, no life vests. The ship was in beautiful condition! Our room was a balcony D2 suite with a very large bed. Alot of closet and drawer space. We had traditional seating at 6pm but we were disappointed when we arrived to find a table for four set up and we where the only people at our table that night. I had requested months in advance for a table with 8 people. We asked the Head waiter if we could sit with a larger group. Walked around the ship taking pictures and went to the first bingo session and to the welcome aboard show.
Cabin 7548. Large bed, great sized balcony, couch not a love seat, closet ok could have been alittle larger, bathroom just right, shower love the curved doors, very clean.
