This was my first cruise experience and I must say, I’m extremely pleased! I traveled with my 65 yr old mom, 83 yr old grandma and 38 yr old sister. There was something to do for all of us. We participated in at least one shore excursion at each port with a level 1 or level 2 activity level rating. If you stayed on the ship, there was always some form of entertainment in the Atrium to keep you laughing. I loved especially the games with the couples. So fun!

We also saw two broadway type shows- Burn the Floor and Rock of Ages that were excellent for the whole family!

On top of the entertainment, NCL has phenomenal customer service. All of the crew greet you as you’re walking down the halls. They are big on ensuring that you remain “germ free” by constantly offering you sprays of hand-sanitizers (“Washy Washy” is their signature greeting) or by offering cool wash cloths whenever you re-board the ship from a port. There was never garbage on the floor anywhere either - Which is a feat in itself considering there are so many people on the boat!

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom

Cabin IB

The cabin photos online don’t do justice to the actual size of the room. We were in an inside stateroom and the size was not that bad/small for two grown women with lots of stuff! You won’t feel claustrophobic and honestly there’s so much to do on the cruise itself that you barely spend time in your cabin anyway.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

We didn’t do an excursion at this port but had a great time on the island visiting all the gift shops and spending time in the pool. You could also be a spectator of the dolphins held in an area near the pool.

Miami

My family lives in Miami so we didn’t visit a port, but I can say that everything in the city is fun to do- visiting Bayside, walking down Ocean Drive and dining at Mangos or Fat Tuesday, shopping at Coconut Grove, etc. They are all fun and full of Cuban culture.

Harvest Caye

We did the excursion called “Black Swan Electric Cruise”. We chose this one because it was low key and low level. My grandma and mom went on this and couldn’t walk long or be out in the sun too long. It was very nice and a good way to be close to the water, see Belize up close and spot a manatee or two all while drinking rum punch and accessing their free Wi-Fi on the boat.
