We did both itineraries the Jewel offered:: Aug 4 was the Greek Isles (4 ports) & Aug 11 was 5 ports in the Western Mediterranean.

Larger balcony rooms were sold out when we booked. We usually do Jr Suites or Larger Balcony rooms, so this room was tight, but adequate. The balcony was fine. First week we were forward starboard side. The forward elevators were easy access to the Fitness Center/Spa, the Solarium (which had Grab & Go breakfast if you didn’t want Windjammer crowds), the shops and the theater.

Overall, the food was very good to excellent. We did Chefs Table the first night which was discounted—so fabulous! Dinner all other nights was in the Dining Room & it was a pleasure—varied menu, excellent service by waiters, delicious. If we were back from excursions, Lunch was in Windjammer, I’d give it a B—if you like Indian & Asian dishes you’re in luck. Breakfast was very good In Windjammer, just a little harried with the masses trying to eat quickly to get to meeting places for excursions. The Dining Room offered Brunch one morning approx 9:30-12:30–do it if you can. It was excellent!

Cabin Review

Ocean View Balcony

Cabin 6D

Small balcony stateroom, but adequate. Room steward was wonderful, took very good care of us. Balcony was plenty roomy for 2 people. Room had standard bed, small sofa, standard vanity, larger closet than expected & standard tiny bathroom.
