Norwegian Joy Cruise Review by Karen710
- Sail Date: August 2019
- Destination: Alaska
- Cabin Type: Balcony
We have been on many cruises. I have sailed on NCL many years ago. This last experience was one of the worst. The food in the restaurants was mediocre. There was an up charge to eat in the better restaurants. Our cell phones couldn’t be used. No reception. We had many people in our group. We couldn’t correspond with others in our group. Water was scarce. We could not bring water in the ship or take our Starbucks off the cruise lines. Everything cost money. Excursions were expensive. Party of 6 for one excursion was 1500 dollars. Not worth the price. Shows on the ship was limited. We had to book shows on the ship. Only a few of us were able to book the shows, they were all filled up. Disappointing. The extra activities like driving cars or laser tag was another fee. In the past, whether we were traveling to Mexico, Caribbean, Jamaica, Europe and many other cruises we have never felt ripped off. Cruises has always been care free, worth the cost. This cruise was a disappointing experience. If you have lots of money to spend and waste this cruise is for you. The best part of the cruise were the employees.
