I just got back this weekend from a week on the Dream.....Let just say to all the people who write all the bad crap about the Dream....Hog Wash.....This ship is as nice as any ship I have seen. Let me tell you when I fisrt saw this ship I already knew is was going to be a great week..and it was.......OK down to the nitty gritty everyone wants to know.........
1) We got to the port about 12:30pm. we went right ot the short line going into the terminal....got though this in about 10 minutes and off to the upstairs where you check in with the good folks of Carnival. we were thought that line and on board in about 10 more minutes.....Now how cool is that.....They I think now have it down on getting on board.
2) We entered on deck 3 and made our way to the Lido deck (10) and met my brother Tony who was already there after his wait of about 35 or so minutes getting on board as well......We went over to the burger bar and stood in line for about 10 minutes getting food...not bad. After we ate we all headed down to our cabins.....
We had the new Cove Balcony and were located in room 2371 about mid ship. The cabin was really wonderful you get about 10 extra square feet on the balcony and it is very private. I did like that part because you are tucked back into the side of the ship. we were also two doors down from the hallway that had the elevators, so that was nice as well. The room as a whole was very quiet, not much noise at all. You can hear a little noise from the galley right above you after diner is served until about 10:00pm but gets quiet shortly after the last seating's. The room is right over the entrance to the galley so its not bad. You do have a very close view of the water from the balcony. this is very good because you see the ocean up close about 25 feet above it......cool..must see
