First time on a Freedom Class ship. 5th RCL cruise and the most enjoyable to date. We enjoy staying in Grand Suites. Like most others we dont always spend that much time in the room but do enjoy the comforts of that size accomodation. Used the concierge service for a few things and to meet friends for a drink.

Enjoyed Labadee changes since our last visit three years ago. Used the private beach for suite guests but all of them look nice. Did not get a cabana but just two chairs under a thatched roof. Snorkeled and found the small plane just outside the roped swimming area. I am a diver and didnt expect much but was surprised. On the right side area looking out there is some coral and saw many fish. Trumpet, parrot, a big lobster, sea cucumber and butterfly fish to name a few. Lunch wasnt anything special but you can sit at a private table and it was nice and quiet as opposed to the large picnic style seating in the main lunch area. Shopped and was not hassled at all by the vendors. Pleasant surprise. Bought several items and paid at a central checkout area.

In Jamaica we did the Canopy Zip Line tour. I would do that again. A bus ride up the mountain where you gear up. You then have an 8-10 minute walk downhill to first zip line. Instruction on braking could have been better but everyone figured it out after a few times. There were 9 lines in all. They take pictures of you and you can buy a cd at the end. After the last line you walk for about 15-20 minutes thru the forest and in a beautiful park. Bus meets everyone at that spot. It was a dry sunny day. Should it be wet the walk down to get started would be slippery to say the least. And once you get going there is no turning back. Need to be in a little bit of shape for the walking. Read the negatives on Ocho Rios town area shopping but never saw anything. No one asked for money or to sell drugs, etc.

Grand Suite. Roomy with lots of storage space. Nice bathroom. Big balcony. Very quiet even though young babies on either side of us.
