We were a large cruise and one member of the family had cruised Norwegian before and really liked the freestyle cruising model, so we chose this cruise. Embarkation was smooth, disembarkation was less smooth, but not awful.

The ship was beautiful and very big. We had a lot of issues with booking specialty dining. Months in advance, we were closed out of the specialty restaurants almost as soon as they were opened to book. I was told by my cruise consultant that we should have no issue straightening that out once we got on board - unfortunately, that was not the case. The first hour spend on board was spent trying to rearrange dining reservations - and we still were unable to book the restaurants we wanted as they were fully booked for the duration of the cruise. They also seemed to be half empty when we looked inside, I can only guess that they did not have the staff to fill the restaurants to capacity.

Given that we spent so much time on dining reservations, we ended up missing out on reserving the racetrack and laser tag for the kids in our family, as they were then fully booked for the duration of our cruise. The large slide was broken for the duration of the cruise. That left little for them to enjoy.

A lot of fun exploring the town

Victoria

Too short a time in this port. Arrival in the evening was not optimal.
