As an all inclusive cruise we liked knowing what we paid up front was the bottom line, no hidden extras. We have travelled with Scenic before so not a difficult decision. Lovely comfortable beds light airy and clean cabins.
This time travelling to a region of France we have not seen before and wanted to learn more about.
On board attentive staff, great food , friendly fellow passengers made the ten days most enjoyable and we learned a lot about wine, the grape varieties and wine making.
Fantastic, light clean and airy.
The onboard service was second to none, cheerful staff and prompt service served with a smile, the cruise director Sonia reviewed each port of call every day accompanied by pre dinner aperitifs ending with a hilarious short story. All the excursions were explained in detail with the amount of effort and accessibility needed so we could make informed decisions on which one to do or not at all if you wanted to explore under your own steam. The Scenic Tailormade app easily downloaded onto a digital device allowed us to hear commentary unobtrusively from a guide or follow city tour highlights and also has daily itineraries, easier than having lots of bits of paper.
The boat has a lift between floors for less able passengers.
While a tour of the Bordeaux region may immediately seem to appeal to those interested in Wine there is a lot more to this region to see and learn about, Bordeaux City itself is charming and easily negotiated on foot an by tram and bus.
A very enjoyable holiday.
