Grand Princess Cruise Review by Kellifer
- Sail Date: August 2019
- Destination: Alaska
- Cabin Type: Mini-Suite with Balcony
Stateroom was large and in very nice condition, but the balcony was in old, poor condition and the balcony furniture should have been replaced a long time ago.
One day the bath water was DARK BROWN. Not a little, but A LOT. The front desk staff told me not to worry about it but that I should run the bathroom water form a couple of minutes before drinking. Yuk.
Service was hit and miss, mostly miss. some staff members are friendly and helpful, but most seemed to have poor, or disinterested attitudes. We found ourselves being practically being pushed around by staff members in the buffet area. They always wanted us to get out of their way and almost never said "excuse me" or "thank you".
One disappointment with the ship is that it does not have any indoor venue with a panoramic view. Every other ship I have been on has a lounge in the front of the ship, on a higher floor which is wonderful for taking in the scenery while cruising. This ship had nothing of the sort, no place indoors where you can see both sides of the ship from one location. This is especially important on inside passage cruises.

JuneauClean, nice town. Not a lot to see in town other than the usual shopping, just the same as every other port, but still nice to wander around. Stay away from the tram unless you like hiking on the top of the mountain. Locals tell me it is an expensive, 5 minute ride to a location that has little to offer other than overpriced food.View All 1,526 Juneau Cruise Port Reviews

San FranciscoOther than the bums, the feces and hypodermic needles on the street, the extra city-mandated fees added to dining checks at overpriced restaurants, SF was ok.View All 312 San Francisco Cruise Port Reviews
