This was our 2nd trip aboard the Escape, and our 8th cruise on NCL. We finally made it to Platinum!! YAY! In May, my husband and I decided that we needed to get away and we started looking up cruises. We like to leave from NY so we don't have to fly, and we have always had a wonderful time on Norwegian. It turned out that there were many offers going on and I think this was probably our best value to date! We love that we can get the drink and dining packages and then they were also offering wi-fi, and shore excursion and on-board credits. We made out quite well!
Our positives outweigh our negatives, but the negatives are ones that we always experience and feel that they could definitely be improved with not too much effort. I'll start there...
~EMBARKATION--This is always a pressure point for us. The lines at the port in NYC are always ridiculous! There has to be a better way! We have tried arriving at many different times over the years, but it seems that there really is NO good time to arrive. It takes HOURS to get on the ship!
We were in a Spa Mini suite on deck 15. Our cabin was wonderful, as always, and we really never have any complaints in this respect. We have enough room, love having a balcony, and the mini-suite has a great sized bathroom and shower. Only 1 small issue on this cruise, we were right below the main deck area and the chairs being set up in the morning (EARLY) was quite loud above our heads.
Docked here. Lots to see and do
