We arrived at the cruise terminal in Mobile at around 12:30 and after a fairly short wait, unloaded our baggage and parked in the secure parking garage, ($15 per day-$75 total for the trip, paid on entry to the parking garage. They do take credit cards!.)

After parking and taking the elevator to the terminal(have your passport in hand when you enter the terminal) we spent a very reasonable amount of time standing in line to be processed on board by Carnival's friendly and efficient embarkation staff.Once you reach the embarkation desk it takes only minutes to be processed and receive your sign and sail cards, which are also your room keys.

Once on board we were able to go to our cabin after no more than a 10 minute wait. The cabin was clean and well supplied. The bed was very comfortable and the service by the cabin staff was great.Room service was immediate and efficient.

Cabin Review

Great location. Close to elevator lobby and dining areas

Cozumel

Cozumel is clean and a beautiful place to visit with lots to do.A cheeseburger and margaritas at Margaritaville are a must have when visiting here. There are a lot of shops where the ships dock and the prices are the same as the rest of the island. Most prices are shown in Mexican pesos so don't go into sticker shock over them. The exchange rate was $12.30 to $1 when we were there so an item that costs $3 U.S. would show $37 in pesos.Remember, this is Mexico and bargaining for the price of an item is expected and normal practice.Just say "No that is too much" and watch the prices drop.

Calica is an absolutely nothing place, in the middle of no where. It is just a harbor in a rock quarry.Taxis are available to take you into Playa del Carmen for $26 round trip. My advice is save your money and don't waste your time leaving the ship. Do you shopping in Cozumel, which is safer and much cleaner.
