We chose this cruise because it fit our schedule and the ports. I was hesitant because of the size of the ship and the amount of people on board. I was surprised because even with 4000 people, it really never felt crowded. The buffet in the morning was a little hectic but other than that everything ran smoothy. Embarkation and disembarkation was quick and smooth. Getting on and off the ship at ports was also efficient. Lines constantly moved.
The cruise overall was nice but nothing gave me the ‘wow’ factor. Service, food, entertainment, activities, cabins, excursions, etc were all average. Our service at Cagneys was exceptional but our service at La Cucina was horrible. Our meal took 2 hours which was ridiculous. Buffet was good for breakfast and lunch. Food and service in Taste and Savor was average.
One thing that our group had an issue with was the pool area. We had ‘kids’ ranging 12-21. The main pool is adult only and the kid pool is really kiddy (not really fun for kids over 10). So we were never able to all go in the pool together. I spent my time by the kid pool watching my son be splashed and ran into by small children acting crazy, while my brother and nieces were hanging out by the main pool where all the entertainment was. I understand the need for an adult pool but it should not be the main pool!! I have cruise 3 other cruise lines and have never encountered this problem. The adult pool was off in a secluded area where adults only were able to hang out. The main pool was for families. This was a big disappointment for our group of 8.
Cabin was a good size for a family of 3. Was clean and bathroom was large.
