Our group of 20 (ages 22- 68) chose this cruise to celebrate a milestone anniversary. The ship was beautiful, well appointed, and very clean. We worked very hard to connect our reservations so that we would have meals together in the main dining rooms. The first night, we were spread all over. We spoke to the Head waiter and he took care if it for the following evenings. We were grateful for the change, but feel like it shouldn’t have been wrong to begin with. Meals were very good except for the first night, when the food was poor. I wonder if they do that to encourage specialty dining or if the first night is always iffy?? I haven’t noticed it on other cruises. Our servers Malou and Lula were wonderful!! We loved our shore excursions (purchased from TripAdvisior). In Juneau we did the Mendenhall Glacier and Whale Watching. In Skagway, we went dogsledding. In Victoria, we had tea at The Empress. One thing we noticed about this ship is that there weren’t very many areas where we could sit and play cards. We did like to sit at the large table in Vintages, but they made it clear that they didn’t like it. One day, they asked us to move because they were having wine tasting there- in 2.5 hours!! We questioned the request, even asked an officer and were told they would rather we not sit there and play cards. We were still buying drinks, not disruptive. I thought that was unacceptable but even the supervisor didn’t seem to care! I would say that service everywhere else was adequate, nothing to get excited over. We spoke to our room steward twice the whole 7 days. The best thing about this shop was the musical entertainment. At every venue, the music was terrific. Thank you for that!

Great ship, lackluster service
