Pacific Aria Cruise Review by Steveoka
- Sail Date: August 2019
- Destination: Australia & New Zealand
We have cruised all the cruise lines and over a 100 cruises so are the first to admit a little jaded and critical.
Well we were impressed with the decor of the ship on boarding as the public rooms and pool area are very modern in decor and still in good condition.
The staterooms are original Holland America decor but still tidy and comfortable and very spacious. We had stateroom 10062 with a balcony which was a good position for the pantry and access to the pool etc.
The food overall was good in all restaurants and the service was excellent and much better than we thought it was going to be.
The production shows were fantastic and some of the best shows and singing we have seen on a ship for a long time.
There were lots of activities on during the day and with lots of children on board it seemed to keep everyone happy.
The drinks at the bars were priced ok and included all service charges unlike HAL and Princess who add 15% on top of the menu prices.
The staff were all friendly and very efficient and so nice to see Pacifica staff onboard to add to the flavour of the cruise line being based in Australia and NZ.
It is definitely a family oriented ship but a few too many children for our liking as we are at a stage in life that we like a quiet time.
Well done to P&O and your wonderful staff you managed to impress us!
