Our first 'real' cruise. Took Carnival 'booze cruise' to Ensenada years ago (hated it) and swore off cruises forever...until some friends talked us into joining the on this Princess cruise to Alaska. SO GLAD WE DID! Our mini-suite was comfortable and clean. Loved the balcony, especially when we were viewing the glaciers and fjords during the inside passage. Naturalist narration from the bridge was a highlight for sure. Ship itself is a little dated but well maintained. Food was okay. Do pay upcharge and go to Sabatini's - the best meal on board. Excursion out of Skagway - Heli-Hike-Rail Adventure was pricey and worth every cent. Fitness Center was okay. Some equipment was not functioning but most was. They allow kids in the gym, but WHY? Please, people, children Do NOT belong in the fitness center. Also, they give 'seminars' in the gym and the presenters remarks are BLASTING LOUD. Otherwise, ship is well-run and staff, for the most part, very accommodating and friendly. But Alaska is the star of the show. We now understand why people return and hope we will, too. Embarking/Disembarking very smooth. You will love this cruise!
Terrific space. Functional, clean and comfortable.
