Regal Princess Cruise Review by roytan
- Sail Date: July 2019
- Destination: Baltic Sea
- Cabin Type: Mini-Suite with Balcony
The Regal uses the Medallion. Embarkation took under 5 minutes and your cabin door opens as you move towards it. We didn’t have any issues with the medallion and can’t wait till all the ships use this technology.
We had early dining which worked at fine for us. The food was fine, and they even made me some dishes to eat, when the menu didn’t have anything on it I could eat. Our servers were so fantastic it was such a pleasure to go to dinner.
We did tours from Princess, except in Tallinn where we did the town on our own. We did Nynäshamn and the Rui stones.
In Helsinki we went to the Rock church which is stunning. Beautiful town to walk around in.
We were in St. Petersburg for 2 days. We found the city sad and depressing. It was cold and we were warned about the pickpockets who were all over. The architecture is beautiful and the Hermitage is definitely worth a visit. I just wish we could have spent more time there.
Tallinn is a medieval town that was quaint and stunning. We so enjoyed walking around, talking to the locals, and had lunch at the Cinnamon Restaurant which was very good. There is a HOHO bus which we used to get all over Tallinn.
Oslo, Norway is stunning. The Viking museum was very crowded and due to the short time we were in Oslo, we only got to see 1 ship.
We went to Rostock in Germany which was very enjoyable.
So glad we did this cruise.

Rostock Walking TourWe took the harbor cruise first and then the walking tour. The day ended with a stop at a microbrewery. Very easy to walk around Rostock. The area was very busy as it was a gorgeous day.View All 24 Rostock Walking Tour Reviews
CopenhagenWe have been to Copenhagen before and we spent 4 days here before the cruise. Take the HOHO bus and you can see almost everything. We stay at the Marriott and the bus stops right in front of the hotel. Go to Nyahyn for wonderful food and a great time.View All 1,092 Copenhagen Cruise Port Reviews

OsloThe glassworks was interesting but we spent too long there. Since people came back 20 minutes after the stated time we had only 25 minutes at the Viking museum. The museum was so busy we only got to see one ship. This tour is not,one I would ever do again.View All 12,792 Oslo Cruise Port Reviews

City TourThe tour of the city was very enjoyable. You need to be aware of the pickpockets and keep valuables close to your body. The Hermitage is something to see, and only wish we could have had more time. St. Petersburg has amazing culture.View All 341 City Tour Reviews
Hermitage MuseumThe Hermitage is a beautiful tour which only included 2 of the 6 buildings. They are building a 7th building. Wish we could have spent much more time there.View All 334 Hermitage Museum Reviews

TallinnThis is a town where we took the HOHO bus and were able to see a lot,of the area. The medieval part of Tallinn was enchanting. I loved walking around the area, speaking to the locals and having lunch at an outdoor cafe. This town ranks right up there like Copenhagen.View All 1,004 Tallinn Cruise Port Reviews
