A Norwegian Mega Ship

We had a great time on this cruise but I really don't think Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) knows how to build good Mega Ships.

A lot of people don't like big ships as they feel they are too crowded. I can now see what they are talking about. I cruised on the new Carnival Horizon Mega Ship on its maiden Transatlantic crossing in May 2018. The Carnival Horizon is about the same size and carrys about the same number of passengers as the Norwegian Getaway, but other than embarking and disembarking, I never felt the ship as being crowded.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

The cabin was in a good location on the ship and well designed. It was right below the buffet level but we did not notice any noises from above. There was plenty of storage space. We had 3 people in our room. The 3rd person said the sofa wasn't that comfortable but was acceptable. The bathroom had plenty of space for the two of us. We were right near the stairs and elevators so it was pretty easy to get to the buffet or the public areas of the ship. Though they said this was a midship balcony cabin, it was really pretty close to the aft section of the ship.
