Cruise ship was supposed to be newly remodeled, but they went cheap on using double pane glass for the balcony doors, so you can hear EVERY LITTLE THING! We have been on several other cruises with other lines, and Celebrity advertises as “luxury” and “superior” but that couldn’t be further from the truth. In the past one of the best parts of a cruise is how friendly and fun the staff is, but don’t expect that on a Celebrity cruise. The spa overcharged us and was the most rude of all, also not honoring our appointment time (which I had made months in advance), they saw us an hour late, which messed with our other plans for the day. The food was a huge letdown in quality and taste, it should also not take 3 hours to get through a meal. Tried to get issues resolved on the cruise ship and with their post cruise department, but they do not care. Spent $10k on a post deployment vacation for my fiancé so we could rest, relax and see beautiful Alaska together, what a letdown. Celebrity offered $500/each towards our next cruise, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

Balcony doors are cheap and you can hear every little thing. We were on deck 9 so the overhang on deck 10 was the outside walkway, you could hear people just walking, let alone when they wheeled a cart or moved furniture around.

Took the train from Seward to Anchorage. AMAZING, a must do!
