Marella Dream Cruise Review by Joanne Cross
- Sail Date: July 2019
- Destination: Western Mediterranean
Some parts of the ship did look a little tired but this did not spoil our cruise experience.
Our cabin on deck 4 was fine. The bed was really comfortable. The cabin wasnt huge but it was functional.
We ate in the Lido and Orion restaurants. We didn't have a bad meal during the week. The food was plentiful - you could eat all day, every day if you wanted. We upgraded to premium all inclusive which was worth the money.
We went on the excursion to Florence and Pisa. Well organised but a long day in 40 degree temperatures. In the other ports we stopped at we were able to walk or get a shuttle into the city. We had a tender from the ship into Monaco, and on returning to the ship, the weather had taken a turn. The tender pilot was brilliant and skillful in getting us back in rough sea.
Entertainment was great and there was something for everyone.
We visited the gym a couple of times which had a lot of equpment for a relatively small ship.
The organisation during embarking and disembarking was excellent. Plenty of staff to help.
We will definitely be going again.
