My wife and I booked this cruise for a quick mid-summer getaway. We have sailed out of Charleston many times and this time we parked off-site and took an Uber to the port.
The check-in process is ina modified building in the parking lot instead of the main terminal. Once we checked in less than five minutes we were shuttled over to the main terminal.
we had priority boarding so the boarding process was quick and easy.
The food and activities were all on par with Carnival. We did not get off the ship in Half Moon Cay. We spent the day on the Serenity deck which was a nice peaceful experience.
The same goes for Nassau since we have been there many times we stayed on the ship.
We attended the Diamond captains party in the Red Frog Pub. The Captain and staff were very friendly and the drinks flowed! The VIFP party on the last sea day was good also.
The only issue we had was with the host doing Trivia on the Nassau port day. It was obvious he did not agree with American politics or how we did not convert to the metric system like the rest of the world! Debarkation was painless.
Our room was ready when we arrived. Luggage was delivered about an hour later.
The balcony room was fine, except the bathroom door swung into the bathroom instead of the usual out. This was a real pain having to maneuver around the already small bathroom. The plus was the shower was larger than other ships we have been on. The decor was ok and our room steward Jay was great.
Easy no issues!
