We actually purchased this cruise at a Benefit Silent Auction. The ship was beautiful and immaculate. Staff and entertainment were outstanding, Cruise Director was really enthusiastic and fun and loved the comedian. There were lots of activities as well as entertainment and because we did 4 excursions missed a lot, I would love to take the same cruise and just stay on the ship to take advantage of everything. Our excursions were booked through Princess and all met our expectations, very informative, with good travel guides. Transportation provided for these was good except a couple of times we did have a long walk off the ship to the buses or trams. My husband had hurt his knee just before we left on our trip so we even changed our excursion in Victoria from the walking tour to the double decker bus ride which was great. (Our daughter and my sister, who cruised with us, felt that was an extremely long walk and they had a hard time getting a trolley to get to the ship on time.) We did find that the Excursion Desk had rather limited hours though. Food was great and we were offered lots of different options. We had the "anytime dining" which worked well for us, and loved going to the dining room for breakfast rather than the buffet although both offered lots of options. I would have liked to see a couple more seafood offered (mainly crab legs) All of the wait staff were extremely friendly and all had interesting stories about their lives on the ship, always made us feel very pampered and special. For lunch we either did the buffet or one of the smaller specialty food booths and took advantage of the two complimentary lunches in the Crown Dining Room which were outstanding! Liked the idea of having 24 hour room service although we never used it. The lady that took care of our room for us was super nice, and always asked if things were OK or if there was anything else she could do for us. Room was very nice and we loved our outside balcony but bathroom was super tiny. Lots of closet space though. Didn't use the Fitness facility. Would have liked an adult swim time. I think Princess might be a little pricier than other cruise lines but well worth it. We were celebrating an anniversary and loved that there were balloons and a big card to greet us at our cabin as well as a special dessert one night. No problems either getting on or off the ship and appreciated the extra help we got with our luggage.
Loved our outside balcony. Bathroom was very small but lots of closet space and everything was immaculate.
