Norwegian Dawn Cruise Review by mkrickmi

This cruise and this ship were, all-around, an excellent experience. Friendly and helpful crew, top notch entertainment, excellent food and food venues!! Smaller ship with many passengers so it was full of energy and crowded at times, but, never-the- less, a relaxing vacation where you could set your own pace and schedule. Beautiful decor throughout the ship, easy to access all areas and easy to learn the lay-out in a very short time. Specialty restaurants were wonderful with masterfully prepared food that was just the right size portion. We can say enough to praise the pastry chefs on this ship. Every day different creations were delicious, as were all entrees. The view of the sunsets and sunrises from our cabin balcony was breathtaking at time. Organization of debarkation for Castaway Cay was poorly done with poor oversight in the lobby area (Atrium) so confusion reigned! However, this is the only negative I can say about this cruise. For the first time cruisers that we were, it introduced us in a wonderful manner to cruising....we will most probably return in the future!
mkrickmi’s Full Rating Summary
Excellent cabin. Great decor. Wonderful private balcony. Comfortable bed. Limited TV offerings but who really needs a TV on a cruise?!! A bit of a bad odor in the toilet area of the bathroom. But that could easily be eliminated by the company installing small wall mounted deodorizing units in that area. The odor was there but not by any means overpowering. Very good and roomy shower.
