We chose Scenic based on a couple of things. First, we had cruised with them before and thought they were great. Second, it is truly and all inclusive cruise, no extras other than laundry. Great food, top shelf liquor and all excursions. Finally, the 11 nights appealed to us as we did 2 days just cruising and relaxing, a vacation from vacation!
The food was outstanding and so were the wines served with lunch and dinner. Breakfast was a buffet with something for everyone including a few menus items. Lunch was also a buffet. Dinner was sit down with table service. There are 2 specialty restaurants onboard and we ate at both and were impressed with the food and wine pairings.
The first and last nights the boat was out hotel in Porto. So we were able to see some of the city.
Cabin Review
River cruising means going through locks along the way. The lock size dictates the size of the cabin so it was small by necessity. We had a king size bed with luggage storage under it. there were 2 closets with shelves. The bathroom was good sized and had a large, multi-head shower. We loved the shower. a small desk for the computer. There was a balcony with 2 chairs.
